“The upper class in San Francisco is that way. The Bohemian Grove, which I attend from time to time—it is the most faggy goddamned thing you could ever imagine, with that San Francisco crowd. I don’t even want to shake hands with anybody from San Francisco.” -Richard Nixon

The Bohemian Grove

Deep in the ancient redwood forests of Monte Rio, California, lies the Bohemian Grove—a 2,700-acre private compound owned by the Bohemian Club. Every July, the world’s most powerful men gather here for a two-week encampment of secrecy, ritual, and unchecked influence. These are not ordinary retreats. This is where presidents, billionaires, media moguls, and military leaders perform theatrical ceremonies involving hooded robes, torch-lit processions, and the burning of a human effigy before a massive 40-foot concrete owl statue. They call it the Cremation of Care, a symbolic banishing of worldly worries, but the imagery is unmistakable: robed figures sacrificing an effigy to an owl idol under thousand-year-old trees. This isn’t speculation. Video footage from infiltrations, including Alex Jones’ “Dark Secrets: Inside Bohemian Grove” shows the ceremony in detail: men in red robes chanting, a ferryman delivering the effigy called “Dull Care,” and flames consuming it in front of the owl shrine. The club insists it’s theater, a mock ritual to “help members relax”. But the optics are damning, especially when linked to the biblical Moloch (often tied to child sacrifice in ancient texts), though the club claims the owl simply represents wisdom. The connection to ancient pagan or occult practices persists in public perception because the elite keep it hidden behind armed security and strict privacy.

The Grove isn’t just weird pageantry—it’s where history-altering decisions happen in the shadows. In September 1942, physicists Ernest Lawrence and J. Robert Oppenheimer hosted a key meeting at the Grove with the S-1 Executive Committee, military reps, and university/industry leaders. This gathering helped solidify plans for the Manhattan Project, the secret program that built the atomic bomb. The redwoods provided cover for discussions that would unleash nuclear devastation on the world. This is documented history—not theory—showing how these elite gatherings shape global events away from public scrutiny.

With the Jeffrey Epstein files exposing elite networks of sex trafficking, blackmail, and depravity, Bohemian Grove’s rituals take on a darker tone. Leaked rosters from recent years name high-profile attendees, and the all-male, no-women-allowed policy combined with reports of heavy drinking, nudity, and bizarre behavior fuels questions about what really happens behind the trees. Allegations of ritual child abuse or sacrifice have circulated for years, amplified by Epstein connections to powerful circles and resurfaced claims from whistleblowers about occult practices among financial and political elites. While no hard evidence proves literal human sacrifice at the Grove, the symbolism—burning a stand-in human figure to an idol—mirrors ancient sacrificial rites. In an era where Epstein’s island and flight logs revealed elite exploitation of minors, the Grove’s secrecy invites the obvious: if these men burn effigies to shed “care,” what else do they do when no one’s watching?
